Dog Biscuits

  • 2 ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup non-fat dry milk powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 ½ tsp wheat germ
  • 1 ½ tsp nutritional yeast (not baking yeast)

Cream butter and egg until well blended. Sift flour, milk powder, salt, wheat germ, and yeast together. Add flour mix and cold water alternately to butter and egg mixture. Knead 2-3 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to ¼–½ inch thick. Dip cookie cutter in flour and cut out dog biscuits with a cookie cutter of your choice. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
